Air Wing captain fired over alleged relationship with female junior officer
Capt. Matthew Leahey, deputy commander of CVW 17, has temporarily been assigned to lead the air wing, which is based at Naval Air Station Lemoore, Calif. Rear Adm. David Steindl, head of Carrier Strike Group 1 made the decision to fire the captain.
